How we get paid (full transparency)

When you invest through us, GT Securities (our FINRA-registered broker-dealer partner) receives compensation from the fund sponsor that issues the investment you subscribe to. Here's exactly how:

AT SUBSCRIPTION

A one-time referral fee

Paid by the fund sponsor when you subscribe, calculated as a percentage of your committed capital.

AT EXIT

A share of carried interest

A portion of the carried interest the sponsor earns if and when the fund exits profitably. No profit, no carry, no payment to GTS.

Why this matters to you

This arrangement creates a conflict of interest: we have a financial incentive to recommend investments with sponsors who compensate us, and to suggest larger amounts. We're telling you this upfront so you can factor it into your decision.

Importantly, GTS does NOT receive any portion of the ongoing management fees you pay to the sponsor — those go entirely to the sponsor to fund operations. Our ongoing compensation is tied to carried interest at exit only, which means we only earn more when you earn more.

Our compensation is on top of (not instead of) the fees you pay the fund sponsor directly. The specific fund sponsor and exact compensation rates for any particular opportunity will be disclosed to you before you subscribe.
